Sight Seeing in Yamba and Region
We live here so we are a little biased about the attractions of Yamba and the surrounding region!
Our beaches are stunning, the National Parks are unspoilt, and our little town is an attraction all by itself.
In Yamba, the lighthouse is a great spot for a bit of whale watching, walk along the breakwater where there is an excellent chance of seeing dolphins, or wander down to Pippis to watch the surfers and kite boarders. If that doesn't grab you, head for Angourie for the blue and green pools.
It is worth exploring a little further afield when you stay in Yamba, so here are a few ideas.
If you have never been on a river ferry, go for a drive to Ulmarra or Lawrence for lunch and cross the river on the ferry just for the fun of it.
How about a drive over to Ashby for views of the Broadwater?
Nip to Maclean to check out their famous tartan lamposts, Bicentennial Museum and gift shops
Brooms Head is another great spot for whale watching, dolphins, sandy beaches and coastal walking trails.
A short detour off Brooms Head Road takes you to Red Cliff Lookout and Lake Arragan Rest Area where the early morning hours bring visiting kangaroos
If you fancy travelling further afield why not have a day out at Bundjalung National Park, home to the famous Black Rocks?
