Yamba Food Festival September 23rd 2018
Annual Yamba Events
Organised by Yamba Rotary and taking place on Sunday 30th September, Eat Street takes over Coldstream Street from 4pm to 8pm. Coldstream Steet will come alive with music, kids fun and food stalls, or you can enjoy a beer or wine at the Rotary bar. Free entry, but a gold coin donation is appreciated.
Held on New Years Day each year, this is another event that closes Coldstream Street to traffic and keeps it open for locals and visitors to enjoy the markets. Featuring food, music, arts, crafts and more the Twilight Markets are a great family event to enjoy during the heat of summer in Yamba. This is another event run by Yamba Rotary and features their famous Chocolate Wheel.
Every year Yamba is taken over by Hot Rod enthusiasts keen to display their treasured vehicles for the admiration and awe of the locals and visitors. This year's event is taking place on from Friday 9th November to Sunday 11th November. You don't have to own a hot rod to enjoy this weekend, just come along and admire the brightly coloured and beautifully restored vehciles as they are driven through Yamba by their owners.
Another event organised by Yamba Rotary, the annual Tim the Bream fishing competitions is proving to be a big draw card. Yamba and the Clarence Valley are already famous for excellent fishing, but now you can indulge your favourite hobby AND be in with a chance to win $20,000. All you have to do is catch Tim the Bream!
Tickets for the 2018 event are on sale already so don't miss your chance to join us for the weekend of 1st and 2nd September
Another November Event, the annual Yamba Golf Open draws hundreds of golfers to the area hosted by the Yamba Golf and Country Club
A festival of music and culture held in the heart of Yamba on Coldstream Street every year for the last nine years. They are taking a break in 2018 but we hope to see them back again in the future.
Annual Clarence Valley Events
An annual gathering of bagpipe bands from all over Australia that is hosted by Maclean, Australia's Scottish Town, just a few minutes drive from Yamba. Every Easter Maclean is taken over by people clad in tartan, and the Saturday march of the pipe bands though the centre of Maclean attracts a crowd of onlookers. Pipe band competitions, caber toss, hammer throwing, food stalls and much more are laid on to entertain visitors, culminating in fireworks at the Maclean showground on the final night.
The region's largest horse racing event, the Grafton July Carnival gives the racegoer the thrills and excitement of the Cup races and Fashions on the Field. Free entry on Thursday 5th July gives the novice racegoer the opportunity to 'try before they buy'. Live music, fashion, food and fun.
